Is the QR code free to make?
Yes. Making a code and downloading it as a PNG is free and needs no account. The free PNG has a small 'made with QR Smoke' line below the code. Pro removes that line.
Does the QR code expire or redirect?
No. QR Smoke makes a static code that contains the exact text or link you typed. There is no QR Smoke redirect between the code and your destination, so nothing on our side can switch the code off.
What does Pro add?
Pro removes the watermark from PNG downloads and adds SVG download, which stays sharp at any print size. Pro costs $3 per month. You can cancel from your account at any time, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Do I need an account?
Not for the free PNG download. To buy Pro you sign in with an email link. There is no password to create or remember.
