Privacy Policy

QR Smoke makes static QR codes. We keep what we collect to a minimum. This page explains what that is, why we have it and how to reach us.

What we collect

• Your email address, only if you sign in. We use it to send you a sign-in link and to attach a Pro subscription to your account.
• A sign-in session, stored in cookies in your browser so you stay signed in.
• Subscription status: whether your Pro subscription is active. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach us.
• Usage analytics: page views and events such as "a code was downloaded". They do not include the text or link you encode.

What we do not collect

The link or text you type is turned into a code in your browser. For free downloads it is not sent to us. For Pro downloads (SVG and PNG without the watermark) the text is sent to our server only to draw the file, and we do not store it. Your codes are static: they contain exactly what you typed and do not pass through a QR Smoke redirect.

Providers we rely on

To run the service we rely on a small set of industry-standard providers covering: cloud database & storage, application hosting, payment processing, and privacy-respecting product analytics. The current list is available on request: email qr-smoke-support@botitout.com.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and for analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account and its data, by emailing qr-smoke-support@botitout.com.
• Cancel your subscription at any time from the account menu.
• Block cookies in your browser. The free generator works without signing in.

Retention

We keep your account and subscription records while your account exists. When you ask us to delete it, we delete it. Payment and tax records may be kept by our payment processor as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above.
